Search for significance.
The video quality is for crap, but the sound is ok. The only time I really have to video during the work week is on the road. I do not really have much to say in the morning (when its light out). However, after work I have things floating through my head. But its dark. I may start putting on the light over head. I’ll experiment a bit and see what I can do. For now, its just my voice in the dark with bits of light flashing from the highway. It sounds mysterious. I may just leave it that way.

John back in Arizona
Quick video of picking up John from the airport. He made a short visit to Kansas to see the boys, Wes & Joey (his sons, my stepsons). He forgot to pack a jacket. He was very glad to be in 70-80 degree weather again. We’re so spoiled!

I got some things done today. One particularly important item: setting up the transfer of my ROTH IRA to the company I currently work for. I help people transfer their IRAs and 401(k)s (retirement accounts) every day. So it was easy. But because I tend to procrastinate when it comes to doing things for myself, I am now finally getting it done.
John is in Kansas visiting the boys. It was a complete surprise for them. John called once he met up with them. They sounded really happy on the phone. I miss them a lot. No matter how much they sound and look like young men (18 and almost 17 years of age), they still are those two little boys that use to sit on my lap and giggle in my ear.
I’ll pick John up from the airport tomorrow and hear more about his visit. I’ll try to video some of it. I am getting use to carrying around some type of recording device to capture vlogging moments. Until then…

Valley of the No Sun
No sun in the Valley of the Sun? No! It cannot be?!? One of the few days of overcast and I celebrate it. Yes, I am strange. However, if you live in a place that has at least 340 days of sun, you would welcome the change too.
Watching Pulp Fiction on IFC. After the zillionth viewing, I still love this movie. My favorite bit - Jules:

Blah
Today I’m just feeling blah. Maybe its because its the middle of the week. I do not know. Blah blah blah blah blah. BLAH!
I got home around 7pm due to the sucky 101 traffic. Before sitting down and eating supper, I made myself clean through my “makeup” drawer in the bathroom. I know, exciting. But I made myself do it for two reasons. Number one, the drawer was becoming a mess and each morning having to look was depressing. Number two, being able to complete a task, no matter how small, allowed me to feel like a actually did something today.
Now I’m in bed. Still feeling blah. Knowing that as soon as I close my eyes, the alarm will be going off so I can do it all over again.

Day after Vet’s Day.
Had a bit of a rant about the current treatment of veterans the day after Vet’s Day. Sometimes I think I go on about a subject like I’m Miss South Carolina. But I promised myself to have no retakes, just record and go with it. Flaws and all.

No holiday for me.
What can I say? Its Monday and I survived it. Nothing bad happened, it was actually decent. I just don’t like to think its a whole five days until the weekend. Ah…its over. Only four days to go.

First Meal Today on Viddler
Viddler makes it easy to upload video and then embed/send it where I want it to go. I enjoy watching the Me Todays and the Meal Todays from others. So, since I’ve already got a few Me Todays under my belt, I decided to tackle a Meal Today. At first my recording was just bits of crap video of John making our wonderful meal. But thanks to iMovie, the footage did not suck after all. I love my Mac. A little bit of titling, some transitions, and one of my favorite songs from the Gipsy Kings, Bamboleo, and my little crap shooting was saved.
By the way, the fajita pitas were freakin’ fantastic! John was inspired by our supper last night at Dos Gringos. For our first experience there, we decided to try two items from their sandwich menu. John got the Caesar Chicken and I ordered their Diablo Chicken. Both were really good. However, we thought how simple it could be to make at home. Instead of a tortilla, they used pita bread to wrap around the chicken fajita meat. Brilliant. Dos Gringos was good last night, but John’s fajitas were so wonderful this evening. Instead of wrapping the chicken, we just stuffed the pitas. Yum yum yum.
Not much else happened today and that was fine by me. Everyone in the house has tomorrow off and I’ll be going to work. Opposite from last Monday I guess. Where did the bloody weekend go?!?!?! Why can’t we have 2 day work weeks and 5 day weekends??? I know some professions have those type of work schedules, like nurses. Why the heck can’t people in finance?!?!?! Oh well. I’ll stop my bitchin’ and go play some Boxing on the Wii.
