Christmas lights are in full swing in G-Town. I recorded during another nighttime walk with the Rotties (until the battery pooped out). This vlogging thing requires so much responsibility. I have to make sure the battery is charged at all times, geezus!

A choppy me today. Just slapped it together and it will have to do. Its also a good example of how no ‘retakes’ make for some moments of unarticulation. Oh well. Me, stripped down to the core of all imperfection, I guess.
About the journal. Its neat in that it uses unconventional tasks to inspire creativity. Who knows, I may find the cure for cancer or the solution for world peace? Or possibly just get out of my funk and start being an artist again.

Another night video. This time, I have an orange talking head.
I love to get packages and letters through regular post. Today when I found a box with Amazon on it for me, a big grin smeared across my face. Alexandra told me to be on the look out for my last birthday present and today it finally arrived. Inside there were not one, but three books! Jackpot! My sister picked out some gems too. Alexandra has American Psycho and loves it. She has read me passages over the phone and sent some by email. The movie was great (particular with Mr. Bale - yummie ) and I am excited to read what the movie left out. Lots of underlining and scribbles awaiting this book. The other two look fascinating. Alexandra and I plan to take a sister vacation to London in the next 18 months. I know that was an inspiration for her pick of London Noir. Then the Wreck This Journal is no doubt for both our obsessions with different types of paper journals (particularly Moleskine). However, this looks more like an interesting project to get the old creative juices flowing. Just what I need! Oh joy, oh joy! I’m in literary heaven.

John took this Thanksgiving Day in our backyard. Such bright colors. Not the browns and oranges that enter my mind for the Fall season. But then again, I’m in a part of the country that is now finally able to come out of their caves because the triple digit temperatures are gone for the summer. Fall and Winter are the time to play outside. Completely opposite of my Midwest upbringing.

After we stuffed ourselves with Turkey, my brother-in-law (Cory) and father-in-law (Greg) were up for some Wii playing. My mother-in-law (Nina) even gave it a try. Cory and I have played our fair share of video games, but Greg and Nina have not. They were both impressed on how reactive and adaptable it was for anyone to pick up and play. As time went by, everyone got really good at their Wii skills. This footage is during the learning stages. It was great to see everyone enjoy themselves. I personally had a blast. John unfortunately had to lay down before work. But he did get to play a little bit of bowling before taking a nap.
I had to work today, but it was very short and sweet. Traffic was fantastic. It actually only took me 35 minutes one way (not the usual 60 to 75 mintues). Now it is Friday night and two days to call my own. So very nice.

Work today is nice and easy. I am actually able to get online. Of course many sites are restricted. I did find this and thought it was funny. Happy Friday!
This is how the modern meditation works. Meditation 2.0, I would say. Funny comic by Joy of Tech.
Since I did not post a video yesterday, thought a double dose was in order.
Very very short, but beautiful still. I was talking on the phone, driving (apparently), AND recording. Absolutely ridiculous, I know. At least I was talking hands free on the phone. Also I was experimenting with a new digital camera. John picked this one out. Its rather nice. Its a Canon PowerShot SX100. 8 megapixels with 10x optical zoom. Not as ‘portable’ as the previous Canon, a little beefier in size. It takes some sweet photos. The video turned out nicely too.
